Are you looking for an experienced teacher who can help you make instant progress?
Do you have a clear goal? Are you truly motivated?
I have 25 years of experience teaching foreign languages and preparing students for language exams and certifications.

Personalized approach
Whether you're studying with me one-on-one or in a small group, my priority is to tailor my approach to respect your personal learning style and help you progress more quickly. We all learn differently, which is why it's important to identify each new student's strengths and weaknesses as early as possible. My years of experience with this approach have been yielding concrete results and client satisfaction.
Emphasis on communication
When we learn any new language, our main goal is ultimately to be able to communicate in it. This means understanding written text, knowing how to respond in conversation, or being able to "decode" the spoken language, such as a phone call, radio news, or the audio in a movie. All of these aspects fulfill the communicative function of language, and in my lessons, we focus intensively and practically on each of these skills.
Exam and certificate preparation
Preparing for a language exam, a high school graduation exam, a college entrance exam, or a certification can be extremely stressful. Whether you're preparing for a state exam, an interview, or an international certification such as IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge Exams etc., it's always wise to seek professional support. I'd be happy to help you navigate this demanding preparation process to a successful conclusion.
Flexible hours
Are you looking for a language course that can adapt to your schedule, rather than the other way around? Don't want to miss a paid lesson due to unexpected events? Students often have to deal with cancellations, especially when they're busy or something "comes up". This can be very demotivating for both sides. Thanks to the flexible schedule of my lessons, we can minimize this problem.
Study online
Don't have the time or opportunity to travel to lessons? Do you prefer to learn from the comfort of your home or office? In that case, my online lessons are perfect for you. All you need is a computer with a webcam or a smartphone, a fast internet connection, and a quiet room. I'll take care of the rest.
Face-to-face classes
Do you prefer to have personal contact with the teacher, or to interact with other students? Is it easy for you to travel to the classroom? Or would you prefer for the teacher to come to your home or office? Choose the face-to-face lesson option that works best for you.
Languages Offered

English
I have been teaching English for over 25 years (since 2000) and during that time I have taught more than 7,000 hours of one-on-one and group lessons. My students range from complete beginners to advanced learners, from preschoolers to seniors, with diverse linguistic and cultural-ethnic backgrounds. A significant number of my clients are students who, with my help, have been accepted into international high schools, obtained various language certificates required for work visas, or successfully passed language exams necessary for permanent residency. However, I am also frequently approached by students seeking help in building confidence when using English in everyday social interactions, while traveling, or in professional communication. Every person has a different learning style, pace, personality, and level of confidence. My goal is to design a learning plan so that every student feels they are making progress right from the very first lesson.

German
In my German classes, I focus primarily on helping my students learn key vocabulary and phrases essential for everyday communication in German-speaking environments. Students gradually gain confidence in using German grammar and common expressions in real-life situations across various contexts, such as healthcare, government offices, jobs, banks, shopping, food, travel etc. In one-to-one lessons, there is also a strong emphasis on vocabulary relevant to the student's specific life situation—whether they are already living in a German-speaking country or planning to move to one for work or study. Last but not least, I am frequently contacted by students who are looking for support while preparing for their high school graduation exams, college entrance exams, or job interviews.

Czech for foreigners
Since 2018, I have been teaching Czech as a foreign language to non-native speakers, primarily through one-on-one and group online courses. I have taught more than 4,000 hours of Czech to date. I also specialize in helping more advanced students improve their level of Czech or prepare them for the Czech Language Certificate Exam (CCE) at levels A2 through B1, which are required to obtain various types of visas and residence permits in the Czech Republic as well as Czech citizenship. I am proud to say that to this day, I continue to maintain a 100% success rate for my students in passing these demanding exams. I also offer preparatory courses at the B2 level for applicants to Czech universities and customized preparatory courses for entrance exams or high school graduation exams at Czech secondary schools.

Slovak for foreigners
As a teacher of Slovak for foreigners, I work mainly with non-native adult learners at the beginner level (A1–A2). I help my students develop basic communication skills allowing them to handle everyday situations in a Slovak-speaking environment. In addition to Slovak, I often use English as a language of communication, combined with German, Spanish, Italian, or Czech, as the situation requires. Each student receives systematic instruction in Slovak grammar and learns vocabulary from a wide range of topics, which they can then apply in real life.
About Me
I have been involved in language education for over 25 years as a foreign language teacher, author of teaching materials, translator, and language consultant. I primarily teach English, German, Slovak, and Czech to non-native speakers, and to a lesser extent, the basics of Dutch and Spanish.
From 2014 to 2019, I worked as an English teacher and translator at the Institute for Language and Preparatory Studies (ÚJOP) at Charles University in Prague. From 2017 to 2021, I ran the private language school Language Institute s.r.o. in Prague. As its co-founder and managing director, I was responsible for the quality of services provided, teaching methodology, and sales. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I began specializing in online instruction, which has allowed me to work with clients around the world.
I hold the Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) at the C2 level, awarded by Cambridge University. During the course of my teaching career, I have taught more than 7,000 hours of English and over 5,000 hours of other foreign languages combined.
